The JAZZ PIANO IMPROVISATION course offers one-to-one coaching under our senior instructors. The student will understudy him to develop his
skills and techniques This course is suitable for anyone who is keen on playing Jazz piano, be it for academic pursuit or leisure.

The student is allowed to learn ANY chosen Jazz Standards from our available library of songs.

The course will be ideal for:
1) anyone with strong previous classical training, from Grade 3 to 8 or Diploma, or any previous strong piano background
2) anyone with reasonable sight reading (at least right hand) and knowledge of chords
Course outline can be customised to student's needs if needed. As lessons are conducted one-to-one, all lessons will be conducted according to
student's learning pace and level.  

* Choice of own songs (Student will learn different ways to improvise his/her chosen songs.)
- Understudying styles of improvisation from assigned instructor

-Jazz Improvisation foundation (Solo playing and comping)
-Chord formation : Maj, Min, Dim, Sus, Aug, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, altered chords with b & #

-Left hand styles using advanced patterns including walking bass

- All lessons are conducted on a private, 1-to-1 basis only.

- Students are allowed to choose their preferred lesson timing, as long as the school has the available slots. We have available lesson slots from
1130 am to 915 pm, from Mondays to Thursdays.  Friday's lessons begin from 230 pm.  Saturday's lessons are conducted from 11 am to 5 pm.

- Each lesson is of 45 mins' duration.  Lessons are conducted once per week.

- Students are allowed to postpone lesson to a later date/timing, as long as students give at least three working days' notice to the school.  
Student must give at least 4 weeks' notice to school should the student chooses to terminate course temporarily or permanently due to any reason.

-  In the event of a public holiday, there are no classes and the lesson will not be counted. It doesn't matter whether a month has 4 or 5 weeks. We
count by completed lessons, not by the month. Thus, it doesn't matter which part of the month you register and commence your first lesson.

- We do not have any school holidays, whereby you still have to pay your school fees even if there are no classes for you to attend. So not to
worry. Then again, we count by completed lessons.
