Firstly, all our courses are 1-to-1, except the workshops, which are designed as 'one-off' supplementary workshops.
Next, there are 3 different courses to choose from.

1) Jazz Piano Improvisation
2) Pop Piano Improvisation  (P.B.E.S. Level 2, 3 & 4)
3) Pop Piano for Beginners (P.B.E.S. Level 1)

Four possible scenarios you might face

1) If you have zero background, you should only go for Pop Piano For Beginners, which is equivalent to P.B.E.S Level 1. The Level 1 will take by average
3 months to complete and you will then automatically move on to P.B.E.S Level 2 under your same assigned instructor.

2) If you have some background in Classical Music, Pop Piano or self taught, but cannot improvise much or just a little, then you should go for
Pop Piano
Improvisation
.  which is equivalent to P.B.E.S Level 2, 3 & 4. To complete from Level 2 to 4 may take any where from 6mths to 3 years. If you have a
little interest in Jazz, you can request for a Pop Piano instructor who can cover some Jazz, which will still put you under the Pop Piano Improvisation
course.

3) If you have strong background and can improvise moderately well already, you should only go for
Jazz Piano Improvisation. Unless, you have no
interest in Jazz at all, then you may go for
Pop Piano Improvisation to enhance your improvisational capabilities with pop music.

4) If you choose not to commit to any of our courses, you can choose to attend our 'one-off' workshops. Each workshop is only 2hrs, and we have many
different workshops every month.

The entire level of P.B.E.S Level 1 to 4, (Pop Piano Improvisation & Pop Piano Improvisation for Beginners courses) will be conducted by our Pop Piano
instructors.
The main difference is in the teaching contents.  The Beginners course is structured to get the student to play something simple.  The Pop Piano
Improvisation has more scope for flexibility as the student is proficient enough to explore other songs and concepts.

Since the sessions are 1-to-1, the instructor can assess the student and decide where to start from. The instructor is trained to handle every student
differently (since every student is different), and to understand their previous musical background and their interests.  Thus it is important for the student
to tell the instructor what he or she prefers to learn, for example, learning accompaniment (play & sing) or solo-playing, fill-ins, more left hand
techniques, more up-tempo rhythms, more 'complicated' chords, more Chinese/Korean songs, more Worship styles, etc.

The Jazz Piano Improvisation course is taught by our jazz piano instructors. The fees will be higher ($188 per month based on 4 lessons) as compared to
Pop Piano. Jazz Piano is only suitable for those with strong playing background.  Jazz Piano is also regarded as Advanced Pop Piano, thus if you are
advanced but may not have very strong interest in Jazz, we will still recommend you to start with Jazz Piano, as the Jazz instructors are more advanced
and experienced. The teaching contents are often tailored to your personal preferences.
