Play By Ear started in 2003 and published its first instructional book 'How to Play Pop Piano By Ear' in 2004. Since the beginning, our school's emphasis
has been to provide the best teaching syllabus. Every day, we are constantly improving our teaching concepts and approach, while understanding how
students can learn effectively from us. Most musicians today can perform better than they can teach. This is common, as musicians are performers by
nature. Thus, our primary objective is to 'pass on' our musicianship and playing techniques to all our students in the most effective way. Teaching is our
passion.
We are probably the only music school in Singapore that makes extensive efforts in creating the 'perfect' Pop Piano Improvisation instructional book.
Every year since 2004, we have successfully published an annual in-house guide book to pop piano improvisation which serves as our primary teaching
