1 Expiration policy for 'refundable school deposit' (not applicable for students under the floater scheme)

1.1. All of the 'refundable school deposits' made with the Play by Ear School during the initial registration can be redeemed within 5 years after a Student quits the School. Deposits not collected within this time frame will be considered forfeited. Please note that the 'refundable school deposits' will only be valid for refund if the student give ample notice to the school before terminating. By definition of ample notice, it means giving a 1 month notice for peak hour slots, and 24 hours for off peak slots to inform the school through proper channels one month before discontinuing the payment of monthly school fees and continuing lessons for the time stated. Failing to do so, the school reserves all rights to forfeit the refundable deposit paid during enrolment.

1.2. 'Voluntary' or 'temporary' suspension carries the same meaning as termination. To suspend, students are also required to give ample notice to the school. Failing to provide ample notice, the school reserves all rights to forfeit the refundable deposit paid during enrolment. Ample notice means 1 month for peak hour slots and 24 hours of off peak slots.

2. Expiration policy for the make-up lessons.

2.1. All of the accumulated make-up lessons have an expiry of 12 months. The expiry date is generated exactly 12 months after the date the makeup lesson was credited into the student's account. These make-up lesson can be used even when the student quits the School for any reason. After the date of expiry, the student will not longer be able to use any accumulated credit regardless of the amount stored.

2.2. At any one time, a student can only accumulate a total of 10 make-up lessons. Any additional make-up lessons generated due to lesson postponement will be forfeited.
