The Yamaha P-125 is a compact digital piano that combines incredible piano performance with a user friendly minimalist design. Easily portable and extremely accessible, this instrument allows you to experience the joy of playing the piano on your terms.

Its a great value for people of all levels. Suitable for beginners who are looking for an instrument with an authentic experience, or a portable backup instrument for advanced users practicing in the middle of the night.

Our Review

Since its release, the Yamaha P-125 has been a best seller since its release. It comes to no surprise with all the great specs at a great price. Great Yamaha sound from the Pure CF engine, which samples the piano tones straight from their flagship grand pianos. The portable speakers are not gold class, but are surprising good considering the size and price. The bass tone is clear and not muddy and distorted compared to many models within the same price range.

To pair with the great piano tones, it features a full-sized 88 keys GHS action. Graded weights replicate the feel of a traditional acoustic since the bass keys are heavier than the treble keys. A true authentic piano playing experience with Yamaha’s sound and feel.

P-45 vs Yamaha P-125 for beginners

The P-45 is a popular entry model for beginners, but we would often recommend the Yamaha P-125 since it has a much higher polyphony count, better sound engine, and just enough tones to get your creative juices flowing.
